How Broadpathinitiative Limited Started
We recognized a gap in cultural programming for mature adults who love traditional Irish music and dance.
Back in 2019, we noticed something: lots of céilí dance sessions existed, but they weren't designed for the 40-60 crowd. Most were either too competitive or aimed at younger folks just starting out. We're the ones who grew up with tin whistles, sea shanties, and kitchen céilís — we wanted to bring that back, but at our own pace.
Broadpathinitiative Limited emerged from that simple idea. Create spaces where traditional music and dance aren't nostalgia — they're living, breathing, social experiences. No pressure to be expert musicians. No judgment if you haven't danced in decades. Just authentic Irish culture, good company, and the kind of sessions that remind you why these traditions matter.
Over the years, we've expanded beyond single céilí evenings. Now we run tin whistle workshops where beginners learn alongside experienced players, sea shanty sing-alongs that fill rooms with laughter and harmony, and folk jam nights where musicians of all levels come together.
